This site is used for several kinds of engagement: pre-priced sessions booked and paid for online, and larger consulting, retained advisory, board, government, multilateral, and speaking work that is scoped individually. This page is a plain-language summary and not a substitute for a formal engagement letter or consultancy agreement, which governs any engagement beyond a pre-priced session.
How an engagement is billed depends on its type:
Fixed-fee sessions (Strategy Call, Advisory Session, Half-Day Advisory Sprint): paid in full upfront, at the price shown at the time of booking, before scheduling. Automated online checkout is being finalised; in the interim, a booking request is confirmed by direct message and paid via a secure payment link sent directly by Derry.
Consulting & project engagements: billed by day rate or as a fixed project fee, set out in a written proposal after scoping. Invoicing schedule (e.g. upfront deposit, milestone, or monthly) is agreed in that proposal, not on this site.
Retained advisory: billed as a monthly retainer, invoiced in advance. Either party may end a retainer with 30 days' written notice unless the retainer agreement states otherwise.
Board & governance: compensation (cash, equity, or a hybrid) is individually negotiated and set out in a separate board or advisory agreement, not by these terms.
Government & multilateral programmes: governed by the contracting authority's own procurement terms and a formal, separately signed consultancy agreement. These terms do not apply to that work except where the agreement says otherwise.
Speaking engagements: fee, deliverables, and travel terms are agreed in writing per event before confirmation.
Uploading a document through the "Submit a Brief or RFP" form on the Work With Me page does not create a contract, an offer, or an obligation on either side. Submitted documents are reviewed to prepare a proposal, a response, or a scoping conversation, and are treated as confidential under the Confidentiality clause below. There is no fee for reviewing a submitted document unless a fee for that review is separately agreed in advance. If direct upload is not yet enabled, submissions may instead arrive by email; the same terms apply.
Requesting a session sends a direct message; once the request is confirmed, you'll receive a secure payment link, and a scheduling link by email within 24 hours of payment to select a time. Payment is required before a session is scheduled.
You may reschedule a confirmed session with at least 24 hours' notice by emailing [email protected]. Sessions rescheduled with less notice, or missed without notice, may not be eligible for a further reschedule without an additional fee.
Cancellations made at least 48 hours before a scheduled session are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of a scheduled session are non-refundable, but may be rescheduled once at no additional cost. To cancel, email [email protected] with your booking confirmation.
Sessions provide strategic, policy, and business advisory input based on Derrydean Dadzie's professional experience. Nothing provided constitutes legal, tax, investment, or immigration advice, and no attorney-client, fiduciary, or other formal advisory relationship is created by a session booked through this site. You remain responsible for decisions made following any session.
Information you share during a session is treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties, except where you request a written summary that you intend to share, or where disclosure is required by law.
Board seats, retained advisory, speaking engagements, and government or multilateral programme work are scoped individually and governed by a separate written agreement, not by these terms.
Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].
